Most wounds that won’t heal are not being treated for the reason they’re open.
Months of treatment and no progress? That’s the call worth making.
Who we are
Find Experts for Wound Care & General Surgery in the Dallas Area
Welcome to Dallas Wound Care, Texas’ newest leader in advanced wound care and general surgery. Our mission is to provide personalized, high-quality care, using state-of-the-art technology to diagnose and treat a variety of wound-related conditions.
A wound that has not closed in four weeks is almost never a dressing problem. Something underneath is blocking it — circulation, pressure, infection, blood sugar, or nutrition. Finding that cause is the first thing we do.
What patients tell us
And what we do about it
“It has been months and the wound looks the same as it did at the start.”
A second opinion from a certified wound care specialist.
A wound that is not closing usually is not a dressing problem. It is circulation, pressure, infection, or nutrition underneath. Once the right cause is identified, healing times often change quickly.
“I cannot keep driving to the clinic every week for a dressing change.”
Tell us, and we will match you with a clinic that comes to you.
If travel is the barrier, say so on the first call. We can pair you with a physician who treats you at home instead. Same care, no drive, no waiting room.
“Every part of this is at a different office and I am the one carrying the paperwork.”
One team, one plan, one record.
Wound treatment, circulation testing, and infection management stay coordinated on our side. You should not be the one relaying results between providers.
“Nobody has actually told me what is wrong.”
You get the answer in plain language before you leave.
What is blocking the wound from healing, what we are going to do about it, and roughly how long it should take. Written down, not just said.
“I called and the first opening is weeks out.”
Non-healing wounds are seen within the week.
If there is spreading redness, fever, exposed bone, or sudden change, we work you in the same day. Wounds do not wait well.
“I have no idea whether any of this is covered.”
We check your benefits before treatment starts.
You will know what is covered and what it costs before anything begins, not after. We accept Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Texas Medicaid, and all major commercial plans.
Your first visit
What to expect, start to finish
Most first visits run about an hour. You do not need a referral to be seen.
Step 01
We look at the whole picture
The wound, yes — but also circulation, sensation, footwear, blood sugar, medications, and what you have already tried. Bring your current dressings and a list of your medications.
Step 02
Testing happens the same day where possible
Circulation studies, sensation testing, imaging or cultures if they are needed. We do not send you away and start over next week.
Step 03
You leave with a plan in writing
What is blocking healing, what we are going to do, what you do at home, and when you come back. Plus a direct number to call if something changes.
